Using the correct lube when installing a shaft seal can mean all the difference. Since a lubricant of some form is almost always required to properly seat a shaft seal and during the installation chances lubricant will come in contact with sealing faces. Once a PTFE or silicone based product touches the seal faces, it is nearly impossible to remove. Once the pump is started, the PTFE or silicone draws the carbon from the primary ring, and smears this material on the face of the mating ring, causing a build-up which eventually destroys the seal.

U.S Sealube is a waterbased formula specifically designed to lubricate rubber, making the installation of mechanical seals fast and easy. Being waterbased evaporation takes place leaving the seal dry to the touch. The lubricity is gone and will not return, even in the presence of moisture. Your seal is now locked in place.

PS-201 Pump Shaft Seal

The shaft seal, while a relatively inexpensive component in your pump is often the reason for a pump failure. We only sell US Seals designed and built for the harsh environments of spa water. When replacing your PS-201 shaft seal, never touch the ceramic surfaces with you skin as oils will cause leaks. A lubricant is often required to press the seal into place and can not suggest using the US Seal lube strongly enough since Teflon based lubricants will ruin a shaft seal.

91694200 is a 2 horsepower impeller for Aquaflo XP and XP2 pumps. When replacing an impeller we strongly recommend you replace the shaft seal at the same time. An Aquaflo Flo-Master XP impeller will use a PS-200 seal. A previously used shaft seal may not seal correctly allowing for leakage into the motor.

Always purchase the correct horsepower impeller. Purchasing an impeller to large for your motor will dramatically shorten the life of the motor.
